This is a poem that perfectly sums up our what we all are feeling nowadays- anxiety over our future and depression on leaving the school I'll Miss
I'll miss the morning alarm And the race to get on the bus in time. As there'll be no more school, I'll get the chance to sleep till nine; But will there be peace of mind?
I'll miss eating lunch before recess, No more laughing on being caught sleeping by the teacher, No more a big giggle on a sneeze And a cat fight on throwing ink
As of now, you wont have a class to lessen your pain Whenever you fall!
How can I forget the morning assembly? Which I'm sure everyone thinks as waste of time But friends, there'll be no more principal ma'am's thoughts, For which applause comes from heart, not from mind.
As I know there'll be no more teachers, Who care for us in our bad times. I'll miss those fun filled days And that pile of assignments Which were never finished till the deadline, And unknown teachers passing an intriguing smile.
May be not today, may be not tomorrow But at some point of time You will feel what I'm feeling today. As go from here, our souls will be left behind
Somewhere in the canteen In the classrooms, In the corridors, In the playgrounds, And of course, mine in the Computer lab.
Gone are the days of making best friends Gone are the days of having fun in the school bus Gone are the days of running behind the teachers to solve the minutest problems Ahead is a never-ending journey to give shape to our dreams So friends, start your ultimate destiny As now the safest time of our lives is ending And the most crucial one is going to start.
((this one's an adapted version of the poem written by Prena of class XII I for the farewell))
